Freeks, Geeks and Clones!

A new documentary, “Little Claudy” heavily criticizes the Raelins, a cult that believes in aliens and claims to have cloned a human baby (despite having no members with a degree in science). The group, founded by “Rael” (left) in France during the 1970s, is accused of targeting Star Trek fans for membership. “Trekkies” are unusually vulnerable to the group’s recruiting methods since Raelins promise an opportunity to communicate with aliens through sex with their female members.

Rael, a then-unemployed car mechanic (real name, Claude Vorilhon), created this religion after claiming to meet an alien while walking through a series of volcanoes in France. The alien, who spoke “perfect French”, told Rael that its race created humans. Rael met with the alien six more times that week, always forgetting his camera in the car each time he entered the alien’s space ship- a decision he “bitterly regrets”.

Rael is effectively banned from half the countries on Earth due to his radical believes on cloning and troubling stories about aliens. My advice to him: the next time you make up a story to get laid, stick to the conventional stuff, like a fake accent or even a tumor, rather then claiming to know a gene-splicing alien. This dude believes in aliens the same way every man at a bar believes that Kate Hudson is a great actress- it was his first thought when trying to impress a girl. After all: does France even have volcanoes? Clearly, this tale was created after The Berlin Wall fell and Rael couldn’t get any action by claiming to be an undercover agent. So, in some ways, the guy should probably be congratulated: he took what was always a cult –Star Trek fans– and finally gave them a chance to meet women. This dude, for example, was hopeless before Rael gave him a story about promiscuous aliens:

“Rael is effectively banned from half the countries on Earth” is a totally false statement. Only Korea was enough controlled by Catholic powers to ban (so far) Rael from entering this mostly Buddhist country. Even Switzerland that refused him a permanent residence (so far), is regularly visited by Rael.
